500 Year Celebration of the German Purity Law

500 years ago, the Reinheitsgebot aka The Germany Purity Law, was put into place. According to the 1516 Bavarian law, the only ingredients that could be used in the production of beer were barley, hops, and water. The law also set the price of beer and penalized anyone who brewed impure beer.

On Saturday April, 23rd we celebrate the 500 year anniversary of the Reinheitsgebot. To honor 500 years, Bierhaus NYC will be serving half liters for 500 pennies until 8pm. At 8pm we will be tapping a celebratory keg! Prost!
